A Warrensburg man was killed after being hit by a vehicle on Monday, August 21.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred when the driver of the vehicle, identified as Madison Dunnavant, observed 26-year-old Kyle Pitts in the roadway and attempted to swerve but struck Pitts.

Pitts was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center but later pronounced deceased.

The accident occurred at 8:41 p.m. on southbound Business 13 near 150th Road in Johnson County.
