The Sedalia City Council passed a resolution on Monday, August 21, to waive building permit fees for three substantial construction projects undertaken by State Fair Community College (SFCC).

The waived projects include:

1. The construction of a new Center for Advanced Agriculture and Transportation Technology facility, with estimated construction costs of $20 million.
2. The construction of a new 200-bed residence hall, with estimated construction costs ranging from $15 to $20 million.
3. The construction of a new outdoor athletic complex, with estimated construction costs of $10 million.

The resolution also acknowledges SFCC’s nonprofit status and its contributions to Sedalia’s economic and community development.
