The Sedalia City Council approved a continuation of the Community Assistance Program with the Missouri Department of Conservation for Springfork Lake during its meeting on Monday, August 21.

City Administrator Kelvin Shaw stated the agreement has been in place with the department since 2004 and has been beneficial for the city.

Shaw stated the department currently stocks and manages the lake while the city mows and maintains the entry road and splits the cost of spraying.
