The month of August recorded much more needed rainfall in the area according to National Weather Service Data.

The Marshall Weather Station recorded a total of 7.1 inches of precipitation for the month. Measurable rainfall was recorded eight days during the month with the highest daily amount recorded at 2.25 inches on August 1.

The highest daily temperature occurred on August 25 with a reading of 100 degrees. The lowest recorded temperature was 58 degrees on August 31.

The average high for the month was 86.5 degrees and the average low was 67.
