
Knob Noster State Park will host two activities open to the public on Saturday, September 9 and Sunday, September 10.
On September 9, the park will have a guided night hike on Buteo Trail starting at 8 p.m. Participants will learn how to preserve the clear night sky over a mile-long loop that will last about an hour. Guests should bring water, snacks and a flashlight and also should wear sturdy shoes, appropriate clothing and insect repellent. The meeting places for the hike will be at the trail head by Lake Buteo, the shelter house and the kayak hut.
On September 10, yoga instructor Suzy Latare will lead a class at the Clearfork Day-Use Area. Participants should meet at the Clearfork Shelter at 10 a.m. Participants should be prepared for the outdoors with sunscreen, insect repellent and bring a yoga mat or outdoor blanket.
Knob Noster State Park is located on Highway 50 or off 23 Highway and DD Highway at 873 Southeast 10th Road in Knob Noster. The Clearfork Day-Use Area is located on the west side of the park near the Opossum Hollow Trail trailhead.
