Mary Berneice Pollard, 96, of Marshall, MO, died Friday, September 1, 2023, at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence in Sedalia, MO.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall, with Fr. Francis Doyle officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to Community Food Pantry or Buddy Pack Program in Berneice’s name in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born January 28, 1927, near Clapper, MO, she was the daughter of the late Patrick Francis Maher and Mary Elizabeth Leary Maher. On November 6, 1947, she married Russell E. Pollard who preceded her in death on February 26, 2006. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and Quilters Guild. She was a devoted homemaker, loved traveling, quilting, sewing and spending time with family.

Survivors include one daughter, Regina Malcolm of Blue Springs, MO; a daughter-in-law, Linda Pollard of Sedalia; one son, Stephen Pollard (Heidi) of Marshall; 11 grandchildren, Rusty, Angela, Nikki (Newly), Matt, (Jennifer), Ashley (Jake), Tiffany (Rick), Nicholas (Raeann), Joseph B., Hayli (Hank), Hannah (Megan) and Joseph H. (Mackenzie); 13 great-grandchildren, Chris, Blake, Kimra, Tristan, Devin, Trinity, Connor, Jackson, Nate, Cameron, Tucker, J.J. and Patrick; one great-great-granddaughter, Lennon Rae; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Berneice was preceded in death by twin sons in infancy, Joseph and John Pollard; one son, David Pollard; one granddaughter, Kimberly Simmons; and four siblings, Joseph Paul Maher, Loretta Frances Greening, Dennis Thomas Maher and Patricia Ann Winters.
