Two people were injured in a motorcycle accident on Monday, September 4.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when a motorcycle driven by 43-year-old Anthony Smith struck a deer in the roadway.

An occupant of Smith’s motorcycle, 64-year-old Kim Loney, was transported to Centerpoint Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.

The accident occurred at 2:10 a.m. on South Outer Road, a half mile east of Route M in Lafayette County.
