The Marshall City Council approved an ordinance for the removal of two underground tanks at the old Fitzgibbon Hospital property during its meeting on Tuesday, September 5.

Terracon Consultants, Inc. was approved for the contract at a cost of $55,000 to the city.

The council also approved rezoning the property for single family residential housing as well as property on Washington Street.

In other news, the council approved the annual operating budget for Marshall Municipal Utilities for the fiscal year beginning on October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024 and appointed Brett Clause to the Library Board.
