The Knob Noster Board of Aldermen approved a bill to amend the charge for water-service connections during its meeting on Tuesday, September 5.
The bill also repeals Ordinance 841. City Administrator Scott Peterson said the board has to increase the cost to install water connections because the city was losing money on parts and labor.
The connection charge the city will impose is $1,000 for 5/8 inches by 3/4 inches in meter size; $1,200 for one inch; and $5,000 for 1 1/2 inches and larger.
In other news, the board approved a request by the Knob Noster Chamber of Commerce to hold a “Wine Stroll and Art Walk” event on September 30.
