Ronald Dean “Ronnie” Mitchell, 67, of Sedalia, MO, died Monday, September 4, 2023, at University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia.

Memorial graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 11, 2023, at Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall.  Memorials are suggested to Child Safe of Central Missouri in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home.  An online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born October 2, 1955, in Sedalia, he was the son of the late R.W. “Dub” Mitchell and Bernadean Coffelt Mitchell.  Ronnie was raised in the rural Houstonia area and was a 1973 graduate of Marshall High School.  He married Patty Stark on April 5, 1974 and they were blessed with two sons.  He worked at Wilson’s in Marshall until its closing and then spent several years in the Lebanon and Springfield areas where he worked as a truck driver.  Ronnie was a member of New Salem Baptist Church at Marshall Junction.

He is survived by two sons, Shane Mitchell (Christy) and Caleb Mitchell (Candice), both of Sedalia; five grandchildren: Robert C., Audrey A., Meaghan S., Arthur C. Mitchell and Bailey M. Burr; brother, Russ Mitchell (Donna) of rural Houstonia; his sons mom, Patty Norman (Noel) of rural Nelson; as well as other extended family.
