The Missouri Tigers took down the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders 23-19 on Saturday, September 9, to advance to 2-0 on the season.

The Tigers led by as many as 13 in the fourth quarter, but the Blue Raiders scored a touchdown late and scored two points on a team safety to pull within four. That’s all they would get, as the Tigers ran down the final 3:30 to secure the victory.

Missouri quarterback Brady Cook was 14 of 19 for 204 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for an additional score. Luther Burden III had eight receptions for 117 yards.

Middle Tennessee quarterback Nicholas Vattiato finished 22 or 36 for 214 yards and two touchdowns.

The Tigers were 7 of 13 on third down and had 21 total first downs.

Middle Tennessee falls to 0-2 after the loss.
