
Johnson County Clerk, Diane Thompson announced that her office will be hosting an “I Voted” Sticker design contest open to high school students grades 9-12 (including home school) of the following districts: Kingsville R-1, Holden R-3, Chilhowee R-4, Warrensburg R-6, Crest Ridge R-7, Knob Noster R-8 and Leeton R-10.
Students interested in submitting an entry can request a packet from the Clerk’s office at johnson.county@sos.mo.gov. All artwork must be received by 4:30 p.m. on October 6, 2023. Late entries will not be accepted. Multiple entries are permitted. No entry fee is required to participate in the contest.
Finalists will be announced on October 20, 2023. Public voting will begin October 23 and end October 31. Members of the general public may vote for their sticker of choice amongst the selected finalists. The design that receives the most votes during the voting period will be the winner. A winner and first and second runners up will be notified November 3. New “I Voted” Stickers will be available for the 2024-25 election cycle, beginning with the April 2, 2024 General Municipal Election
