
A Fayette man has been charged with multiple felonies after a traffic stop near Glasgow on Sunday, September 10.
The Howard County Sheriff’s Department reported that deputies observed a motorcycle ridden by Thomas Narron was operating erratically. After the stop, the deputies discovered Narron did not possess a valid drivers license. During a search of Narron, a deputy located a small plastic bag in his pocket containing a crystal-like substance along with several loose pills. Deputies allegedly located other drug related items and glass consumption devices with burnt residue on the motorcycle as well as alcohol.
Tests later revealed the substance in the bag positive for alleged methamphetamine and the pills tested positive for morphine. Deputies also noted Narron has six prior convictions for driving while intoxicated.
According to court documents, Narron has been charged with felonies for chronic driving while intoxicated, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and driving while revoked.
Bond has been set at $20,000 cash only.
Narron was scheduled for an initial arraignment at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, September 12 at Howard County Circuit Court.
