The Marshall School Board approved the purchase of two zero-turn lawnmowers for the district during its meeting on Tuesday, September 12.
Assistant Superintendent David Reinke stated the district would like to switch to in-house mowing to save money and proposed 60 inch and 72 inch mowers with the 72 inch to be purchased from LB Sales and Service, LLC. and the 60 inch to be purchased from Marshall Service Company at costs of $10,695 and $11,800.
Reinke also stated the bids were not the lowest but the district would like to keep the business local.
