The Lexington City Council approved an agreement with Legacy Underground Construction for downtown sidewalk and water main improvements during its meeting on Tuesday, September 12.

City Administrator Mark O’Dell provided details on the project.

The agreement is for the sidewalks and water mains on the north side of Main Street between 11th and 12th Streets. The cost of the project was approved at $373,260.

In other news, O’Dell state that work at the Water Treatment Plant is almost complete. He said the work is expected to be substantially complete either the first or second week of October.
