A Chariton County bridge is now open following replacement through the Fixing Access to Rural Missouri (FARM) Bridge program. Contractors working with the Missouri Department of Transportation through a design-build contract, were able to reopen the bridge.

The Chariton County Route D Bridge over Clark Branch was reopened on Friday, September 15. Four other Northwest Missouri bridges were also reopened.

The FARM Bridge Program has replaced deficient bridges on low-volume routes that are weight-restricted, in poor condition, on timber pile, and one-lane but carry two-way traffic.

The full list of bridges to be replaced can be found on the FARM Bridge program web page.
