The Marshall Municipal Utilities Board of Public Works will continue its annual agreement with the Marshall-Saline Development Corporation.
MMU pays MSDC $30,000 annually in exchange for MSDC’s economic development efforts. The agreement expires on September 30 each year, but automatically renews unless the board decides to terminate it.
The Board of Public Works took no action, so the agreement was renewed for another year.
In other news, the board approved a bid for the purchase of a dump body and hoist for the new tandem axle cab and chassis. Bids were opened on September 5, and seven were received.
The board accepted the $38,307.71 bid from Knapheide Truck Equipment. The delivery time is about 60 days after delivery of the truck.
