The Concordia Board of Aldermen approved several motions during its meeting on Monday, September 18.

The board voted to enter into a lease purchase agreement with State Bank of Missouri. City Administrator Dale Klussman said the agreement allows the city to finance the cost of acquiring certain personal property in connection with street improvements.

The board also approved several requests from the community. One request was from Concordia Main Street for use of the park for Main Street Christmas on November 18. The other request was from the Concordia High School cheerleaders to paint Southwest 12th Street for Concordia High School’s Homecoming.

The board approved both requests.
