burn-ban-3-9

A burn ban has been issued in Knob Noster due to persisting drought conditions.

The Knob Noster Fire Department says that even though the area has received some rainfall over the last couple of weeks, the drought conditions persist.

Knob Noster is still in the “Extreme Drought” classification according to the U.S. Drought Monitor. With windy and 90+ degree conditions in the forecast for the next week, the Burn Ban has been reinstated until further notice.

It will take significant rainfall to remove the Burn Ban. No open burning what so ever. Residents are advised to be careful with smoking materials too.
