
The Marshall Municipal Utilities Board of Public Works approved several action items during its meeting on Thursday, September 28.
The board started by approving a motion to request bids to clean and inspect reservoir number one. The reservoir was last cleaned and inspected in 2014. The budget for the cleaning is set at $70,000.
The board also approved an engineering cost estimate from Toth and Associates for engineering services for the Miami 1 Substation switchgear replacement. The cost estimate includes engineering services that cover the design and drafting of the replacement project. Toth and Associates has given the board a not to exceed price of $363,204.
Also, the board voted to accept a bid from Knapheide Truck Equipment for a new flatbed truck body. The board received three bids, and approved the low bid at the cost of $9,054.28.
