The Detroit Tigers completed a three-game sweep of the Kansas City Royals with two wins on Thursday, September 28.

Wednesday’s game was suspended due to rain after the fourth inning. Both teams continued play in the fifth inning on Thursday, where the Royals fell in that contest 8-0.

Kansas City only had four hits and struck out ten times at the plate.

Miguel Cabrera hit his 511th career homer in the game.

The Royals and Tiger played again Thursday afternoon, where the Tigers completed the sweep with a 7-3 win.

The Royals held a 3-0 lead after six innings, but the Tigers put up seven runs in the seventh inning as thing unraveled for the Royals.

Cole Ragans gave up four runs over 6 1/3 innings while taking the loss. He struck out eight and walked four.

Michael Massey had two hits, including a two-run homer in the third inning.
