
A Warrensburg man has been charged felonies after allegedly stealing a vehicle on Wednesday, September 27.
According to the Warrensburg Police Department, officers responded to a victim claiming that their residence was ransacked and their vehicle was missing. The victim told police that a man that had been staying with them for several days was also gone. The Male subject was reported to be Kevin Allen. Allen was reportedly not allowed to drive the victim’s vehicle.
Police located the stolen vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was confirmed to be Allen, who claimed he was trying to pick up the victim from the hospital. Allen allegedly had a small baggy of methamphetamine hidden in his right sock.
Police placed Allen under arrest where they reviewed his criminal history. He has prior convictions for stealing, resisting arrest, domestic assault, kidnapping, harassment, and tampering.
Allen has been charged with felonies for stealing a motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $15,000 cash only.
