Storm sirens are scheduled to be tested in several towns in Saline County on Thursday, October 5. Storm sirens will also be tested in Marshall on Wednesday, October 4, weather permitting.
Outside of Marshall, the tests will be conducted on Thursday instead of Wednesday due to the expected weather in the area. The storm sirens are scheduled to be tested between 1:30 p.m and 2:00 p.m. Saline County Emergency Management Agency Director Tony Day says this is the last scheduled test of the year.
The test in Marshall is expected to still occur on the regularly scheduled Wednesday.
The tests will be conducted- in no particular order- in Arrow Rock, Blackburn, Gilliam, Grand Pass, Malta Bend, Miami, Nelson, Slater and Sweet Springs on Thursday.
The tests are weather permitting.
