A Warrensburg man has been charged with felonies after allegedly stabbing a victim on Saturday, September 30.

According to the Warrensburg Police Department, officers were dispatched to a residence after being informed that someone had been stabbed. Officer provided emergency medical aid to the victim, who was stabbed on their right side. The blade went deep enough to knick the victim’s liver, so the victim had to be hospitalized.

The victim identified their stabber as Rondie Wolfmeyer. Wolfmeyer would later turn himself in. However, he refused to speak with officers without legal representation.

Court documents say Wolfmeyer has been charged with felonies for assault in the first degree and armed criminal action. Bond was set at $25,000 cash only.

Wolfmeyer is due for a counsel status hearing at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 4 at Johnson County Circuit Court.
