The Concordia Board of Aldermen discussed the pricing for residential water installation during its meeting on Monday, October 2.
The board currently charges $350 for service connections for residential water installation. City Administrator Dale Klussman said the costs to the city for every installation exceed what is being charged.
Klussman said he was given permission to draft an ordinance to increase the pricing for a service connection.
In other news, the board heard a request from St. Paul High School for a liquor license for the school’s annual Christkindlesmarkt on Friday, December 8 and Saturday, December 9. The city has to write a letter of support to the state before it is approved.
