A Carrollton woman was killed in a crash in Chariton County on Sunday, October 8.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when a vehicle driven by 68-year-old Caren Bittiker ran off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, and overturned. Bittiker’s vehicle came to a rest on its wheels.

Bittiker was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Chariton County Coroner.

The crash occurred at 2:50 p.m. on Highway 11, one mile north of Brunswick.
