A Carrollton man has been charged with several felonies after an incident on August 30, 2023.

According to the Carrollton Police Department, officers were dispatched to a gas station in Carrollton in reference to a disturbance. Officer reviewed surveillance footage, which showed a victim get assaulted by Marvin Kelly and another accomplice.

Kelly and another man approached the victim after exiting from a truck and pulled a handgun on the victim. Kelly hit the victim three times on the head with the butt of the gun and allegedly pointed it at him in a threatening manner.

A warrant was issued for Kelly’s arrest on October 13.

Kelly has been charged with felonies for assault in the second degree, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon. Kelly was granted ROR bond with special conditions.
