A Sedalia man has been arrested and charged after breaking into a Sedalia residence on Saturday, October 14.

According to the Sedalia Police Department, the victim reportedly awoke during the night to see a man leave her residence with some of her belongings. The victim could not identify the suspect after he fled the scene.

Surveillance video showed the man, later identified as Christopher Sinn, enter into the residence through the front door, and leave a little while later carrying a small sack with items she couldn’t identify.

Sinn was later located and arrested by authorities, but he would deny involvement with the incident. Sinn has two prior convictions for stealing in several counties.

Court documents say Sinn has been charged with burglary in the first degree. Bond was set at $50,000 cash or surety. No court dates have been set at this time.
