The Salisbury Board of Aldermen considered a request from the Salisbury Student Council and National Honor Society for a Veteran’s Banner service project.

The student organizations requested permission from the city to allow city workers to hang banners on city light posts on both Veteran’s Day and Memorial Day each year. Aldermen had to approve a motion to amend the agenda to take up the request, and then approved the request with a unanimous vote.

In other news, the board approved the appointment of Erin Cruse to the Library Board.

Also, the board reviewed a financial report for the 2023 pool season and discussed possible sales tax measures in the future. No action was taken after that discussion.
