Marshall City Councilman Charles Guthrey offered several Halloween-safety tips during his report at the Marshall City Council meeting on Tuesday, October 17.
Guthrey said that anyone trick-or-treating on Halloween should wear reflective gear/clothing and only go to houses with their front porch lights on.
Guthrey also encourages drivers to drive slowly and watch for children in the roadways during that night to avoid any accidents.
There are also several Halloween events in the City of Marshall. The Trick-or-Treat on the Square event is from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, October 19. Also the Marshall Cinema will host a free haunted house from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, October 19, and Friday October 20.
