Higginsville City Administrator, Jeanette Dobson reported to KMMO News an update regarding the ongoing Sewer Treatment Plan.

Dobson says rates will increase by $9.25, making the current minimum monthly charge increase from $55.75 to $65.
This is the third increase since the passage of the bond. In addition to the monthly charge, each customer shall pay a user charge for operation and maintenance including replacement, of $3.00 per 100 cubic feet of water used.

The city states it will continue to review these rates as the project continues.

Dobson also went on to state the Sewer Rate Ordinance was implemented after passing with minimal attendees at the Sewer Rate Hearing.
