Dalene Heins Meinershagen, 95, of Blackburn, MO, died Friday, October 13, 2023, at Good Shepherd Care Community in Concordia, MO.

Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Concordia, with Pastor Timothy Miille officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Born June 6, 1928, in rural Blackburn, she was the daughter of the late William C. Heins and Dorothy Buhlig Heins. On May 29, 1949, she married Charles E. Meinershagen and they later divorced. She graduated from Sweet

Springs R-7 High School, was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church in Blackburn and a member of Blackburn Extension Club. Besides raising her son, she helped on the farm, milking cows and doing other farm chores. She worked for 30 years at Banquet Foods in Marshall before retiring in 1993. She enjoyed gardening, canning, yardwork, flower gardening and crocheting.

Survivors include one son, Bruce E. Meinershagen (Pam) of Mayview, MO; six grandchildren, Emily Duncan (Jason) of Georgia, Lisa Haley of Mayview, Terra Schneider (Adam) of Minnesota, Dana Harves (Jeff) of Odessa, MO, Racheal Yardley (Ian) of Independence, MO and Bruce “Junior” Meinershagen, II (Marissa) of Japan; 14 great-grandchildren and one on the way; one great-great-grandson; one nephew; and extended family.

In addition to her parents, Dalene was preceded in death by one sister, Wilda Friedman; and two nephews.
