A traffic crash occurred last night on US 65 Highway just south of state HWY BB. 44-year-old Darin Stokes, of Marshall, was driving Northbound on US 65 Hwy when he failed to negotiate a curve leading to his vehicle traveling off the right side of the roadway, striking an embankment, overturning, and eventually coming to a rest on its side.

Stokes’ passenger, 32 year old Samantha Dobnikar was reported to not have had a seat belt on. She was transported with serious injuries from the scene by Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Hospital, with the Pettis County Sheriff’s Department assistance on October 19.

No other injuries were reported. The accident occurred around a quarter after 10 p.m. last night.
