The City of Marshall has extended the Saline Animals League’s presence at the Marshall animal shelter until January 1, 2024.

Mayor Vince Lutterbie and the SAL have been in negotiations after the overwhelming support from the community during the Public Forum on Tuesday, October 17. An extension to the termination of the Memorandum of Understanding has been granted to January 1, 2024.

The original date was December 1, 2023, so this gives the SAL and the shelter an additional month.
