
The Sedalia Police Department reported that on Sunday Oct. 22, around 1:35p.m. an officer observed 4 motorcycles heading East on Broadway in Sedalia city limits near Ingram Avenue.
The officer reported the speeds of pursuit were in excess of over 85 mph. in a 35 mph zone. The officer attempted to stop all motorcycles when only two initially stopped. The pursuit of the remaining 2 motorcyclist lasted for over 13 blocks.
38-year-old David Cottengin of West Plains was arrested for resisting arrest, and exceeding speed limit.
27-year-old Shane Meyer of St. James was also arrested for resisting arrest exceeding speed limit as well as operating a motor vehicle without a valid license on the roadway.
No other arrests were made in connection with the other two motorcyclists.
