
Lloyd M. Lane, Jr., 86, of Sedalia, died Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at the Rest Haven Convalescent & Retirement Home in Sedalia.
Funeral services will be Friday, October 27, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Kevin Anstine officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Liberty Park Stadium in care of the funeral home.
Born April 25, 1937 in Sedalia, he was the son of the late Lloyd M. and Cleta Hyatt Lane.
He is survived by two daughters, Tracey L. Weisner and Terri L. Lane, both of Sedalia; two grandchildren, Brandon Weisner (Jessie), and Chelsea McCabe (Ethan); six great-grandchildren, Cadence Weisner, Colton Weisner, Quinton Weisner, Phillip Weisner; Emma McCabe, and Emmett McCabe; and two sisters, Judy Lane and Patty McMullin, both of Sedalia.
Mr. Lane was a member of the East Sedalia Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, and a member of the V.F.W. Post #2591 in Sedalia. He worked for many years for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, retiring in 2010 in Marshall, Missouri.
