Mary Roberta Edwards, 96, of Keytesville, MO passed away on October 30, 2023 at her home.

Roberta was born on September 13, 1927 in Marshall, MO, the daughter of Carl George and Mary Helen (Briggs) Schmidt. She was a 1945 graduate of Marshall High School in Marshall, MO.  After graduation, Roberta went on to study home economics at the University of Missouri-Columbia, receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in 1949. She was united in marriage to Harold Edwards on February 1, 1953 in Marshall, MO.  Roberta was a member of the Keytesville United Methodist Church, Warren Star Chapter #254 of the Eastern Star, 4-H leader, and enjoyed cooking, quilting and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

Roberta is survived by her four children, Jim Edwards (Bev) of Keytesville, MO, Steve Edwards (Deb) of Salisbury, MO, Mary (Mike) Martin of Curryville, MO, and Jane (Darren) Harris of New Franklin, MO; nine grandchildren, Bram (Natalie) Clark, Aaron Edwards, Cole Edwards, Megan Edwards, Laine (Brelan) Brookshire, Claire (A.J.) DeOrnellas, Adam (Hunter) Harris, Kale Harris, Koy Harris; three great grandchildren, Kolton, Rylan, and Fallon, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold, three siblings Ted Schmidt, Bill Schmidt, and Florence Waddill.

Funeral services will be Friday, November 3, 2023, at 1:30 pm at the United Methodist Church in Keytesville, MO. Burial will follow in Keytesville City Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday afternoon from 12 noon until the time of the service. Memorials are suggested to the Keytesville City Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury, MO.
