Marshall’s Mayor Lutterbie met with the Saline County Career Center DECA chapter, to present a proclamation declaring November as DECA month.

DECA is an international student organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management.

DECA’S theme for the 23-24 year is “Experience in Difference”. This theme reflects the unique and valuable experiences that the chapter offers its members and lots of opportunities to help develop leadership and professional skills. The chapter says it also gives the chance to learn from industry experts, compete in international competitions, as well as networking with other professional and peers, promoting a difference in their communities.
