The Sedalia Police Department reported on Monday early morning that a husband had reported his wife, 38- year-old Jessica Smith, of Sedalia, striking him in the face several times, as two witnesses collaborated story to officers on the scene.

Smith was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail and placed on a 24 hour hold. A request for the charge of Domestic Assault in 4th Degree has been submitted to prosecutor.
