The Saline County Commission has released a statement in regards to the recent assertions from Saline County Assessor Jessica Goodman about the transfer of $80,000 of general revenue funds to the assessment fund.

The commission says it has been transparent with Goodman and her legal counsel about when the transfer would occur. The transfer occurred during the commission meeting on Wednesday, November 8.

The statement from the commission also touches on the lawsuit Goodman brought against the commissioners, which is currently being appealed. Commissioners say the lawsuit has costed the county $60,000 and could cost more depending on the outcome of the appeal.
