Johnson County authorities are currently investigating a homicide that occurred in Warrensburg.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the Warrensburg Police Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol, are currently conducting an active homicide investigation in the 200 block of South 13 Highway in Warrensburg. There is a significant police presence in the area.

The sheriff’s office has confirmed that two people have been pronounced deceased.

Authorities are actively looking to speak with a person of interest. They are seeking 20-year-old Jonathan Goodwin Jr., in connection with this case. Goodwin, or anyone with information about his whereabouts, are urged to contact Central Dispatch.
