The 5-6 grade Marshall Owls Youth football team is set to compete in the Columbia Youth League Championship Game.

The team will face the Columbia Junior Kewpies in the match.

The Owls got off to an 0-2 start, but found their groove and made the playoffs for the first time. Coach William Weinrich says the team just kept working and pushed themselves to be better.

Weinrich also says the team has developed into a family.

The team will play at at 1 p.m. Sunday, November 12 at Battle High School in the championship game.
