The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a tractor trailer driven by 28 year-old Cody New, of Archie was traveling Eastbound on I-70 in Lafayette County while negotiating a lane change struck a Toyota Camry.

New’s Kennworth tractor trailer struck a 2022 Toyota Camry that was driven by 73-year-old Maggie Hemeyer of Frankford, which caused Hemeyer’s vehicle to travel off the roadway as well as striking the median cable barrier.

Concordia EMS transported Hemeyer to Western Missouri Medical Center as she was reported to have minor injuries.

The crash occurred Thursday, November 9 at 10:30 a.m. in Lafayette county at the 59.8 mile marker on Interstate 70.
