The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office has an update for the homicide case reported on Thursday, November 9, 2023.

24-year-old Alexis Rietbrock and 40-year-old Kevin Totty were pronounced deceased.

The person of interest in this case, Jonathan Goodwin Jr, is currently in custody on a no-bond warrant for an unrelated offense. Detectives are actively conducting follow-up investigations into this homicide.

The investigation is ongoing.
