The City of Fayette received a check in the amount of $7,498.82 from the Missouri Public Utility Commission, presented to the city by the Missouri Rural Water Association.

The City of Fayette is a member of the Missouri Rural Water Association (MRWA), the Administrator of the Missouri Public Utility Commission (MPUC) Interim Loan Program. The MPUC provided the construction funding that allowed the city to complete a wastewater improvement project.

The check received by the city from the Missouri Public Utility Commission is a rebate of interest costs during the construction of the improvements.
