
Missouri and Kansas laborers celebrate National Apprenticeship Week November 13-19. According to the Missouri-Kansas Laborers District Council(MKLDC) National Apprenticeship Week has been observed nation wide since 2015 to honor U.S. Departments of Labor’s Registered Apprenticeship System, established by the “Fitzgerald Act” passed in 1937.
The Missouri-Kansas Laborers District Council have 3 training centers under their jurisdiction. Laborers and Contractors Training Center, MoKan Laborers Training Center in Belton, and The Greater Kansas City Laborers’ training center in KC.
The MKLDC Business Manager Brandon Flinn stated “Each Year we see hundreds of young men and women enter our training centers with dreams of life-changing careers, and each year these laborers leave with skills they need to provide themselves with not just a job, a family-sustaining career.”
