Two area residents were injured in a Johnson County crash on Tuesday, November 14.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Donald Cunningham failed to slow down while a vehicle in front of him was making a turn. Cunningham struck the rear of the turning vehicle, which was driven by 23-year-old Joshua Quinones Ocasio.

Quinones Ocasio was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment of moderate injuries. Cunningham was taken to Centerpoint Hospital with serious injuries.

The accident occurred at 1:48 p.m. on Missouri 13, south of Northwest 525 Road in Johnson County.
