
Cheryl J. “Cherry” Bybee, 80, of rural Marshall, MO, died Friday, October 13, 2023, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be held in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Foundation. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.
Born August 28, 1943, in Kirksville, MO, she was the daughter of the late Virgil Lewis Chamberlain and Helen Marie Schutt Chamberlain. On August 18, 1967, she married Alan Bybee who survives of the home. She lived in the Marshall area most of her life and was a 1961 graduate of Marshall High School and received an associate degree from Sullins College in Bristol, Virginia. She retired from the Division of Family Services and was of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed baking, cooking, flower gardening and being with family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Alan; two sons, Stephen Bybee (Stacey) and John Bybee (Jennifer) of Columbia, MO; and four grandchildren, Etta, Fox, Alexander and Vaughn Bybee.
In addition to her parents, Cherry was preceded in death by one sister, Judith Ann Chamberlain.
