The Smith-Cotton High School Theatre Department, supported by the vocal music and instrumental music departments, will present its fall musical, “Into the Woods,” at 7 p.m. November 17-18, and 2 p.m. November 19, in the Heckart Performing Arts Center.

“Into the Woods” is a 1987 musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine. The musical intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm fairy tales, exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests.

Age recommendation is junior high and older, as the show includes some mild adult themes. Tickets are $10 at the door for adults, $5 for students, and doors open at 6:30 p.m. each night.
