The Missouri Public Service Commission approved the application from Evergy Missouri West adjusting the renewable energy rate. The charge which is currently shown as a separate item on the monthly electric bills of Evergy Missouri West customers, will have an increase from approximately $0.04 a month, to just under a dollar at $0.92 a month effective December 1, 2023.

Evergy provides electric service for approximately 336,640 customers in the region.
